December 13th 2011 – Another year concluded…
The year draws to and end and Christmas is upon us yet again. Looking back on 2011 it has been a pretty good year for Serenity Trace. We may have been quiet in the public but behind the scenes and deep in the underground we have been planting the seeds that will explode with a massive impact deep into your soul in the year to come! A number of songs have been pre produced and 13 songs have been selected for what looks like will become a 14 track album. Make of it what you want but if you are a fan of Serenity Trace – and maybe even if you are not, yet – we promise that you have something to look forward to. And we are looking very much forward to show you what has been going on in the Serenity Trace camp! We still have plenty more ideas and hopefully we will bring most of them into reality. Sit tight and stay tuned for what is coming in 2012! Details will be posted as soon as we have them!
Since it has been a while since we have updated anything on SerenityTrace.com, this will be a bit of a summarizing post…
First up, we’ve played a few shows this year and we extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who joined us in front of the stage and partied with us. It means a whole lot to us to see you all there, joining in on our hate and anger, and we will do our very best to never let you down! So thank you so much for being there and we look forward to seeing everyone again. And to our fans in other parts of the world, we really hope to be in a venue near you as soon as fucking possible!! We must also extend our thanks and love to all the bands we have shared a stage with this year. You guys and girls always make these nights the best! We have shared a stage with many bands we thought we would never be on the same bill with, but we are very proud to have put on these shows with you all! With love and respect; Thanks! We will see you again in 2012!
Funcom, the Norwegian online gaming magicians who brought you “Conan” and “Anarchy Online” have borrowed something from Serenity Trace to be featured in their upcoming game, scheduled for release in April 2012. More news about this will be posted shortly into the New Year. But remember, you read it here first!
Now that MySpace seem to enter a state of daze, we have created a Soundcloud account featuring new songs. When our album is finished we will post some tastes of what to come here and as we write new material after this we might use Soundcloud to bounce new ideas onto our fans. You can find Serenity Trace on Soundcloud at www.soundcloud.com/serenitytrace.
And speaking of online profiles, if you haven’t already, make sure to check us out and “Like” us on Facebook. New’s comes there first. When we reach 1000 likes we have promised everyone a surprise so make sure you tell your friends! Also follow us on Twitter.

2011 have been a turbulent year all over the world and not something the global community should be proud of. The economy is going to the shits, hate crime is increasing everywhere, prejudice and racism is becoming more prominent even in higher levels of society, the numbers of murders of family members are increasing and the distance between religious societies are increasing rapidly. As a global community we are cooperating less and less and communication is muffled by redundant politics. We experienced terrorism in Norway for the first time and it turned out to be by a deranged right wing asshole! Unfortunately what he spawned within certain groups of people may be more damaging in the long run than the actual act of terror he committed. Fingers crossed this will not be the case. All this takes place while everyone so politically correctly recognise that there is a problem and that bad things are happening and with that continue to lie to themselves and everyone else about the real problems that may not be evident at the moment. Ignorance is bliss, denial is reality. The question is what will happen from here. Right now the world is balancing on a knife’s edge. We are facing the same decision as Neo in “The Matrix” when Morpheus offered him a blue and a red pill; which one do we choose?
With that we would like to remind everyone to give their love and respect to the people around you. Together we stand stronger and more prosperous. We are strengthened by the people around us while we can only take a stand for our selves.
We wish you all a wonderful Christmas/Hanukah/Kwanza or whatever fits your way of life. Spend it with people you love and care for. Get rested and ready for 2012 while you enjoy the final holiday season of 2011.
We wish you all the best for 2012! See you then!!!
Serenity Trace
Never before have we seen such a monstrosity in this land... it is time to care and love each other, stand together despite color, race and religion.
Our hearts are with the families and friends of the victims of the Oslo bombing and the Utøya massacre.
June 13th 2011 – Serenity Trace in the studio!!!!

December 5th 2010
So, the year is almost concluded. Christmas is upon us and the stress with work, drinking, gifts, drinking, band practice, the Christmas movies, drinking and the occasional party is taking over. We’re looking out over a snowed down Oslo while breathing in the filth that only reminds us of this season until January comes and it turns into pure poison in our lungs. People are smiling their fake smiles and spending their money. Merry Christmas you bastards!
Nah,, just messing with you all… Actually, this Christmas has so far been very promising. We had a trip to Ålesund with Deseized and CT-Prevail and it was a great show that night. Thanks to everyone in Ålesund for making it so hard core! It was our final show for 2010 and we’re happy with how that turned out. The Christmas propaganda came at a timely manner, and so did the snow as well. We will kick back and relax a little before new years and a kick ass 2011.
This year started with a blast at by:Larm and Inferno and then not much more happened. Or did it? The year has been great none the less. A LOT has been happening behind the curtains and since we can not go into details right now, we will promise you that you will notice as soon as everything comes into place. 2011 will be an interesting year for us – and for all of our fans! It will be drastic and uncompromising!
So, merry season greetings to everyone, whoever you are, wherever you are and seriously we don’t care what religious views you have! We wish you a happy end of the year regardless and hope that you have had a great 2010 and that your 2011 will be happy and prosperous. We will see you around and we can’t wait to see you in front of a stage near you! Keep requesting us to come and play and we will make damn sure we won’t let you down!
Serenity Trace – signing off, 2010
DJ-E departs Serenity Trace
SERENITY TRACE is sorry to announce the departure of DJ-E from the ranks. It happened a little while back but in between discussions of future plans, new songs, total panic, CD smashing and the hope that he would change his mind has delayed the announce of it. He leaves the band because of personal reasons; certain aspects of his life need a lot more attention and took away his much needed energy for the band. DJ-E was a trusted and reliable force in Serenity Trace and we have shared many great moments on and off stage. You will be missed on stage and on rehersals. Regardless of our future endeavours, you are with us in our hearts, and we will honour your contribution for ever. Good luck in the future and we see you over a few beers as often as we can! We love you brother!
But not to worry, M is still hammering out all the synthesizers and samples necessary to keep the Serenity Trace sound alive. However, Serenity Trace will try to find a replacement for DJ-E as soon as possible and hopefully before the recording of the follow up to the album ‘7th Revolution’ is concluded. If you’re interested or know someone who is, please drop us a line to post @ serenitytrace dott com
