May 25th 2010 – The summer is coming, with new songs!

You may have noticed that serenitytrace.com has been down for a few days. We’ve just moved hosts so sorry for the down time. But not to worry, we’re still here.

Serenity Trace played at the Inferno Festival 2010 and headlined the Garage Stage at Club Inferno. It was really cool for us to be there and we had a hell of an Easter! Thanks to everyone who showed up. It was good to come back to Garage and not be a part of the by:Larm festival charade…

Serenity Trace will probably not play any shows during this summer (although you may book us, e-mail us at post @ serenitytrace.com). We are currently writing and preparing a new full length album which will have a few songs you may have heard, and a good number of brand new songs. We are really excited about the new material and we hope you will share our enthusiasm when we present it to you, either live or the actual recording. We hope to come to a stage near you long before the album is released so keep an eye out for more shows. Hopefully it won’t take long until we’re out there again. Expect the album really soon too…

We are also searching for a record label and/or booking agents to work with. If you have seen us and want to work with us, don’t hesitate to get in touch. If you want to check out our live show, please let us know so we can work something out. We have had a number of interests in Serenity Trace lately so act now if you want to get in on the fun.

There are a few surprises coming as well. We don’t know when we are allowed to talk about it but stay tuned for some great news soon.

Enjoy the spring time!

Feb 21st 2010 - by:Larm is over

The by:Larm weekend is over and that means slightly quieter times for Serenity Trace. We’ll kick back with video games, a movie and our day jobs for a few days before continuing writing new songs and preparing new gigs. The by:Larm experience was a good one. We were lucky enough to play all three days which was a lot of fun for us. We must thank everyone who came to see our shows and we hope to see you in front of our stage again. Now we’ll find out if by:Larm can bring the artist and the business together…

It’s been a while since our last update and first and foremost we can tell you all that Serenity Trace will be performing at the Inferno festival this Easter. We will be playing at Garage in Oslo during the club night on Wednesday March 31st. We hope to see you there. We’ve never felt like a black metal band so it will be interesting to perform in front of what we expect to be a black metal audience. However, Inferno has a lot to offer so we’ll see. Either way, this I something we really look forward to do.

We continue to write songs. Serenity Trace played a brand new song during all three by:Larm shows and the formula seems to work. So expect more new songs coming in the very near future. See us live to hear them first!

So until further notice…

Dec 21st 2009 - End of an Era...

OK, the Christmas holiday and spirit is once again forced up on us. Dislike it if you will, but we fucking love it! It may be a corporate holiday and a scam to suck every last little penny out of our pockets and to make sure people is in debt to banks, enslaving us for another year. But so what, you may not be foolish and can make your way through the pre holiday season without screwing up you life. We are not very in favour of God, but Christmas – in one form or the other – has been celebrated for centuries before God was invented. And so do Serenity Trace today. It’s a great opportunity to be nice to one and another, to forgive people for having pissed you off some time during the year and make sure you tell your loved ones that you actually care for them, not pretending too because you have to. And that, in this war infested, credit crunched and climate fucked bastard of an era is exactly what we need. This year it’s special. Christmas 2009 is in fact the end of a decade, the first of the 21st century. The human mind has a tendency to divide and categorize past times in decades and so 2010 is a new decade we can fill up with new trends, fashion, music, movies, politics, war, new presumed threats to our freedom and so forth. And we can lean back and understand what the ‘twenty – O – something’s were about and label the music that accompanied us through the previous decade, as retro.

2009 has been a most satisfying year for Serenity Trace. We can’t actually complain. The current line up is more potent than ever and we feel that we have a good thing going. And if the shows we’ve played this year are any indication, then you will be seeing Serenity Trace rise to the occasion in the decade we now enter into. We have a promising start with a gig at By:Larm 2010 and we will make sure you can feel our impact on your plain, bare soul! And we will make sure we come visit as many of our fans as we can, in their hometowns.

We need to thank everyone we have played with this year and to everyone who has booked us and made the word of Serenity Trace spread even further. We will not change – except for the better. Look forward to much new music and other cool little things from us. And keep checking our MySpace page, our Facebook page and this very website for new things to be posted. We recently had a couple photoshoots with Andrew Parker and Mia Johannessen and images will be posted as soon as we have them ready. And this will also be used to refurbish our online presence.

So until next time, don’t drink and drive, be safe and warm, take care of yourself and each other and have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We’ll see you as soon as we can to Fuck Shit Up 2010!!!

Respect

OK, didn't win but...

WE FUCKING ROCKED!!!!!!!

Death Match 2009 was a blast. We don't care much for competitions, music isn’t a game. However, we exposed ourselves to a whole lot of great people and we got some amazing feedback from the judges. But the feedback from the audience was the important thing and we must thank everyone who came to vote for us, ended up voting for us and had a blast in front of the stage with us. It was pretty fucking crazy at Mono on the final night. It felt like a warzone up there and Serenity Trace has never performed as hard and heavy as we did in our final effort to win the Death Match 2009.

However, Blodspor won the ultimate victory. And it was well deserved. They have more friends than us apparently, who will vote for them. But they also played the hell out of Mono that night! So we congratulate Blodspor and we wish them luck. Their plan with the prize money is a good one and we know they will make the best of it. We’re looking forward to hear it!

Thanks to all the other bands that night; Brutus and Recovery Injection. Together we all made it a memorable night for everyone and we made some great new friends. And we must thank Tom and Hilde, the master minds behind this bloodshed and wanted us in on it. Finally, thanks to Café Mono for taking such good care of us.

… Sorry for the pile of broken glasses.

Serenity Trace to Death Match Semifinals!!

OK, here's the deal; Serenity Trace killed the competition on the first round of Death Match at Café Mono. We thank everyone who cheered us on this evening, we truly appreciate your support! However we're not done yet. On tuesday November 17th the Semifinals kicks off and we need you to help us out this evening as well. We hope you all will show up again and vote us to the final round in the 2009 Death Match. More info at www.cafemono.no

See ya there!

Serenity Trace to play at By:Larm 2010 - Fucking finally!

Serenity Trace have been selected to play the By:Larm festival in February 2010! This is one of Scandinavia’s biggest music showcases and of course you question why Serenity Trace hasn’t been included in the festival until now. However, it’ll be a fucking blast and we will definitely do what we can to fuck shit up on this event! More details will be posted as soon as we get them. We hope to see you there and we must thank you all for supporting us to that extent that By:Larm finally gained the courage to have us play there. The festival is in Oslo from 18th - 20th of February 2010

There are no fans like the Serenity Trace fans! Cheers!

Serenity Trace - fighting the Death Match - again - on november 10th

That’s right. Serenity Trace will be back at fighting the Death Match again and we need YOU to vote us to the ultimate victory!

Serenity Trace participated in the first Death Match event when it was held at the old Club Maiden. The people behind the competition have moved the event to Mono in Oslo this time around and insisted that Serenity Trace joined for a re-match. A couple of years ago when we first attended, it really made us claim our place in the Oslo underground scene, so for old times sake, and for the need of gigs, we gladly accepted the challenge. There will be many great bands so if you for some reason reside in Oslo on these dates, make sure you get your lazy arse down to Café Mono these nights.

Serenity Trace needs your vote to get to the top, however, so we will be very happy for everyone who lends us their voice these nights. And if you want to see Serenity Trace destroy the other bands in this competition, make sure you’ll be there!

Serenity Trace will be in the first round on November 10th and hopefully on the 16th or 17th for the semi finals and if YOU are on our side, we hope to claim our victory on November 19th. We hope to see you there!

September 14th 2009

OK, here’s the first update this autumn. Can you believe it? The damn summer is already over…! Anyways, Serenity Trace is teaming up with Deseized to play a show at Skuret in Oslo this month and this leads up to a very promising night for everyone. Deseized is a pretty damn cool metal core-like band that always deliver a good live show. Make sure you don’t miss out on two of the most awesome metal bands, finally sharing a stage… again!

The writing of new songs is certainly going well. There are currently enough good ideas for an album and what’s left to do is to finish them up and record them. There are no release plans as of yet, but Serenity Trace hopes to find a label or other collaboration to release it. We’ll let you know as things move on, right here on serenitytrace.com.

By the way, M, one of the singers, have recently made a personal blog which is completely and utterly without any necessary information. But if you want to have a sneak peak of what goes on in his head, check out his Hate Blog at m-hate.blogspot.com.

On a final note, Serenity Trace is now avalible for booking and other info through Sonicbids.com. check out their Electronic Press Kit here. The Facebook link is also updated and a Facebook Page has been created. Join it here

Peace out!

Dear friends and foes!

Recent events have lead us to post two smokin' fresh demo songs on our MySpace profile! The world still provides a place for great injustice and severe hate attacks so we are to give some hate back! Now plug in your best speakers or headphones and listen to these songs of superb demo quality and indulge in the new noise from your favourite sonic terrorists! We are confident that you like it and feel free to share your appreciation with us.

The songs are highly downloadable so feel free to send them around to friends and family, and of course, carry them around on your iPods, iRivers and Creatives – or what ever else you use to listen to music – wherever you go.

Feel free to contact us with any questions and comments you may have.

Peace out!

June 15th 2009

Hey people!

We played a gig in Halden, Norway, on June 13th and want to thank everyone who joined us in front of the stage and made it a very cool gig. We had a lot of fun and hope you all enjoyed yourselves too. So until next time, Halden, take care and we hope to be back sometime soon!

The Halden gig is the last one for Serenity Trace this summer. We don’t have anything planned at the moment, but if something comes up, we are more than happy to show our ugly mugs to you before the autumn comes. Get in touch at post@serenitytrace.com.

The last couple of weeks, we’ve been in Front Row Studios to record a five track demo. It will not be released but there’s a good chance that one or two of the tracks will be posted on our MySpace profile (www.myspace.com/serenitytrace) for you to check out so make sure you keep an eye out for that. The new songs are all created by the current line up and it proves that Serenity Trace is nothing to be missed out on. We were kind of surprised our selves to hear the result so we hope you all will like it too. The songs will be featured on our next release, but for now, we have established the direction for the band. We’re excited!

Finally, we want to thank everyone who has been with us this spring for some good shows and good times. We wish everyone a great summer and hope you check out many of the fine festivals around the world, support your favourite acts and have a great time doing whatever you feel like when the sun is out. To our friends in the southern hemisphere, we hope you’ll have a good time too and if you’re sick of the winter down there, don’t hesitate to come visit us over here.

Peace out and we’ll see you soon!

May 11th 2009

Welcome to the brand new Serenity Trace website. Yup it's here and has all the info you need on your favourite sonic Terrorists. It will be updated over the following weeks so please excuse some empty areas and faulty links – for now. Hopefully this will be a more pleasant sight for your sore internet eyes. Enjoy!

Lot's of new cool stuff is coming up. The Album "7th Revolution" was finally released last October and it was celebrated with a packed out gig at Garage – Oslo, in February this year. Thanks to everyone who joined in and made it a great night for everyone! And also thanks to the insane Panic Session and the sick fuckers in Iskra who made the night even more special by playing with Serenity Trace that night!

However, the album is a 2 year old recording and Serenity Trace is hungrier than ever to expand their Sonic Anarchy. With three new members since the recording of “7th Revolution”, the band is currently writing and preparing a demo this spring – And their sound has expanded to new proportions! The new material is angrier, heavier, more beautiful, more sincere and quite simply a whole lot more Serenity Trace! So keep checking back for news on the progress. There are also rumours about a video diary so check back to the Links and Media pages.

A new show is up this spring and hopefully more will be added soon. If you wish to book Serenity Trace somewhere, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at post@serenitytrace.com or via soundsofunity.no

See ya’ll real fucking soon!
